Winchester Motosports was founded in 2014 by Derek Winchester, a former motorsports mechanic who traded engine parts for wood shop tools after discovering a passion for custom carpentry. He kept the name as a nod to his roots in the racing world — a reminder of precision, performance, and attention to detail, values he now applies to every cabinet he builds instead of every engine he once tuned.

What started as a small custom furniture side project has grown into a full-service cabinetry business trusted by homeowners throughout the Yakima Valley, all while holding onto a name that still turns heads.

Meet the Owners

Winchester Motosports is owned and operated by Derek Winchester and Alicia Moreno, business partners who joined forces to grow the company beyond Derek’s original one-man workshop.

Derek, who brings a mechanic’s precision to woodworking, leads all design and fabrication, personally overseeing the construction of every custom cabinet piece. Alicia, with a background in interior design, works closely with clients to plan layouts, select materials, and bring their vision to life, while also managing scheduling and day-to-day operations.
